The consensus among most marvel fans seems to be that Black Widow is one of the lesser marvel movies, but I vehemently disagree, I think its awesome. Think about it, a tense, dramatic spy thriller like Jason Bourne with awesome action and two smoking hot babes, this movie was made to delight spy fans. I think fans dislike the family parts with Red Guardian and Melina, and I do agree they're slightly weak, but the good parts of the movie far outweigh the weaknesses to me.

I might be biased though, because the Borne movies are among my absolute favorites, and Black Widow has very strong Borne vibes. Another thing fans dislike is the CGI heavy climax, but not me, I absolutely loved it. I'm a huge fan of video game cinematics, so CGI setpieces don't bother me in the slightest [as long as their grounded, I didn't like the goofy stuff in Guardians of the Galaxy 2]. I really loved how she was racing ahead of the exploding sky fortress, before skydiving to save her foster sister and defeat the villain. The emotional core of the movie revolves around the two foster sisters, who had very charming chemistry, with their deadpan sardonic humor. Conflict ensues because of Yelenas feelings of betrayal for being abandoned by her sister when Natasha left the spy realm to become an avenger, never realizing Dreykov was still alive and at large. I liked how they handled Dreykov, as a puppetmaster working behind the scenes to manipulate global events. His power to cause international crises is something that would seem humdrum if the avengers faced him, but for Natasha he made a brilliant adversary. Like I said, I'm fanatical about the borne movies, so Black Widow hit that spythriller sweetspot. Hopefully Yelena will become the next Black Widow, and they'll do a movie about her, shes fantastic, and worthy to take up Natashas mantle.
